Trevor Hawkins 2 copy.jpg

Trevor Hawkins has been a professional filmmaker for over 15 years. He wore many hats on his feature film debut, Lotawana, including writer, director, cinematographer, editor and colorist. The critically-acclaimed film maintains a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Among his accolades are an EMMY and the title “Exceptional Filmmaker” from National Geographic.

Twenty years after their genocide, Hawkins was hired by the President of Rwanda to create a film to rebrand the country’s image to the rest of the world. And although not a hunter himself, he is credited for dramatically reforming the creative, story-telling standards of the hunting industry with the hit show, Heartland Bowhunter.

Hawkins founded the production company, MAMMOTH, in 2010. RW2 represents his commercial work and FilmSupply represents his licensing. He continues to work for clients such as National Geographic, ESPN, RedBull, Ford, American Airlines, AMC Theatres, Bass Pro Shops, Stella Artois and Outdoor Channel. Hawkins is a life-long resident of Lake Lotawana, MO and can be found there sailing, skateboarding, wakeboarding, rehabilitating wildlife with his family, working on his cabin, and “gettin wet ‘n wild with the other lake rats.”

CINEMATIC STYLE

Trevor Hawkins' signature style of filmmaking is a unique blend of fun, wonder and nature. His compelling films are known for their emotional depth, intriguing philosophical themes, and ability to capture the beauty in even the most tragic of circumstances. Hawkins’ strong visual aesthetic instills a sense of artistry and awe, particularly in his depictions of the environment and wildlife. He uses powerful storytelling to explore the mysteries and grandeur of our entire existence as well as the most intimate of details and ethereal moments.

Hawkins also skillfully weaves humor, thrills, and playfulness into his original stories that feature eccentric casts of authentic and often endearing characters. This encourages viewers to find joy in the simple things and to have fun along the way.

Overall, Trevor Hawkins' films are a testament to the beauty and complexity of the human experience, as well as the wonder and majesty of the natural world. His ability to take viewers on a captivating journey that is entertaining, heartfelt and thought-provoking leaves them with a greater appreciation for the world around them and a lasting impression long after the credits roll.

"Trevor Hawkins has the ability to capture the large-scale wonder and grandeur of our entire existence,
but can then travel down to share the most intimate of details and moments."
